Weekly Hour Budgets
The budgeting feature allows managers and company admins to set weekly hour budgets for each location. Budgets provide a planning target when building rosters and help track whether staffing levels match business expectations.
Setting a Default Budget
Each location can have a default weekly hour budget. This is the baseline that applies to any week without a specific override.
- Go to Settings > Hour Budgets.
- Select the company and location.
- Enter the default hours per week.
- Click Save.
Budget Planner
The budget planner provides a spreadsheet-style view of all 52 (or 53) weeks in a year. Each row shows one week with its budget hours and an optional reason.
How It Works
- Default weeks appear greyed out, showing the default budget value.
- Override weeks appear highlighted, showing a custom value for that specific week.
- Edit any week inline by changing the hours or adding a reason.
- Changes are tracked until you click Save Changes.
Year Selector
Use the year selector arrows to switch between years. Each year is managed independently.
Range Fill
To set the same budget for multiple weeks at once:
- Click Fill range.
- Enter the start week, end week, hours, and an optional reason.
- Click Apply.
All weeks in the range are filled as overrides. Save to persist.
Seasonal Parks
For parks that are closed part of the year, leave weeks without a budget (empty). Only weeks with a budget value are tracked. Setting a week to 0 hours explicitly marks it as a zero-budget week.
Budget on the Roster View
When viewing a roster window, a budget bar appears for each week that has a budget configured.
The bar shows:
- Scheduled hours vs budget hours
- Percentage of budget used
- A warning indicator if scheduled hours exceed the budget
This helps managers see at a glance whether their roster fits within the budget as they build it.
Budget Warnings on Publish
When publishing a roster window, the system checks each week against the location's budget. If any week exceeds its budget, warnings are shown after publishing. Budget warnings are informational and do not block the publish action.
