Organization Setup

Before you can start rostering and tracking time, you need to set up your organizational structure. Vuoro uses a three-level hierarchy:

Company
└── Location
└── Department

Setting Up Your Organization

Navigate to Settings > Organization to manage your organizational structure. The page displays an expandable tree view where you can create and manage each level.

Creating a Company

  1. Click the + button to add a new company
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name — the company name
  3. Optional fields:
    • Business ID — Finnish Y-tunnus (business identifier)
    • Netvisor ID — for payroll export integration
  4. Click Save

Adding Locations

Locations represent physical sites (e.g., an amusement park or a specific venue).

  1. Expand a company in the tree view
  2. Click the + button next to the company
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name — location name
  4. Optional fields:
    • Address
    • Timezone — defaults to Europe/Helsinki
    • GPS coordinates — latitude, longitude, and radius for geofenced clock-in
  5. Click Save

Adding Departments

Departments organize employees within a location (e.g., "Rides", "Food & Beverage", "Ticketing").

  1. Expand a location in the tree view
  2. Click the + button next to the location
  3. Enter the department name
  4. Click Save

Editing and Deactivating

Click the Edit button on any company, location, or department to update its details. Use Deactivate to soft-delete entities that are no longer in use — they won't appear in active lists but their historical data is preserved.
