Notifications

Stay informed about schedule changes, swap requests, and other updates through the notification system.

Notification Center

  1. Click the bell icon in the navigation bar to open your notifications.
  2. Unread notifications are highlighted.
  3. Click Mark all read to clear all unread notifications at once.

Push Notifications

Vuoro can send push notifications to your browser so you receive real-time updates even when you are not on the page.

When prompted by your browser, click Allow to enable push notifications. You can change this setting later in your browser's notification preferences.

What Generates Notifications

You will receive notifications for the following events:

Shift changesYour shift times, location, or assignment have been changed.
Swap requestsSomeone wants to swap a shift with you.
Swap updatesYour swap request was accepted, rejected, or approved by a supervisor.
Swap auto-cancelledA swap you were part of was auto-cancelled because the underlying shift changed (was rescheduled, reassigned, moved, or cancelled).
Shift offer receivedA colleague offered you one of their shifts (targeted offers only — open offers are pull-based, see Shift Offers).
Shift offer claimedSomeone claimed an offer you posted — the shift is no longer yours.
Shift offer cancelledAn offer you posted (or were targeted by) was cancelled by the offerer, a manager, or auto-cancelled because the shift changed.
Certification expiring soonOne of your certifications is 30 days from expiry. (Managers get the same notification for every employee in the tenant.)
Certification expiredOne of your certifications expired today.
Leave decisionsYour leave request was approved or rejected.
Roster publishedNew shifts are available on your schedule.
Task assignedA new task has been assigned to you.

Managing Notifications

  • View all past notifications in the notification center.
  • Notifications include timestamps showing when they were received.
  • Recent notifications show relative time (for example, "5 minutes ago" or "2 hours ago").
  • Older notifications display the full date and time.
