Requesting Leave

Submit leave requests directly from your dashboard and track their status.

Submitting a Request

  1. Navigate to Leave Requests from the main menu.
  2. Click New Request.
  3. Select the leave type:
    • Annual (vuosiloma) -- your standard annual leave days.
    • Unpaid -- unpaid time off.
    • AP (holiday compensation) -- compensation days earned through holiday work.
    • Other -- any other leave category.
  4. Choose the start date and end date for your leave.
  5. Add optional notes for your supervisor (for example, a reason or special circumstances).
  6. Click Submit.

AP Leave

If you select AP leave, the system shows your current balance:

  • Accrued -- total AP days you have earned.
  • Used -- AP days you have already taken.
  • Remaining -- AP days still available.

You need at least 6 months of continuous employment to be eligible for AP leave. If your balance is insufficient, you will see a warning. You can still submit the request, but your supervisor may reject it.

Tracking Status

Your leave requests will show one of the following statuses:

StatusMeaning
SubmittedWaiting for your supervisor to review.
ApprovedYour leave is confirmed.
RejectedYour supervisor denied the request.
CancelledYou or your supervisor cancelled the request.

Cancelling a Request

You can cancel a request that is in Submitted or Approved status.

  1. Navigate to Leave Requests.
  2. Find the request you want to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel.

Notifications

You will receive a notification when your supervisor approves or rejects your leave request. Check the bell icon in the navigation bar for updates.
